#SFSBW2018 asked some of our small business resources to share insights, best practices, and examples of how they help small business owners flourish. Today we hear from the San Francisco Council of District Merchants Associations (SFCDMA).
SFCDMA’s recent accomplishments include workshops with social media companies, merchant walks, collaborating with the San Francisco Chamber of Commerce and other organizing in a day of Business Meet a City, and summits with district supervisors

Organizing events and advising on activities that will draw customers.
SFCDMA encourages those businesses who have been established for more than 30 years to register as legacy businesses and to participate and fairs and other events.
It is important to be open to innovative ideas and educate employees about greeting customers by name, offering theirs as well in the process.
